Novel combination of compression device and ChitoClot Pad can deliver more active and stronger coagulation effect. Continuous and stable compression can reduce patients’ blood loss and the risk of complications, such as limb swelling, limb numbness and cold limbs, etc. No time-consuming manual compression is needed. Smart rotating knob design enables medical staffs easily adjust the pressure to the moderate level, and adjust according to patients’ hemorrhage condition at any time. Soft flannel belt can be used for a long time, and will not cause swelling, itch, irritation or allergy. Special Velcro can sustain vertical tensile force up to 15N.
AnsCare ChitoClot Pad is composed of medical grade chitosan, which provide excellent hemostatic efficancy. Cationic chitosan (chitosan; -NH3+) enhances the platelet aggergation to accelerate blood coagulation. That activates coagulation molecules, thrombin, serotonin, ADP, TxA2, and induces aggregation of fibrin and blood clot.
