MEDICAL JAPAN 2019 - 5th Int’l Medical and Elderly Care Expo & Conference Osaka was successfully held from February 20 to 22, 2019 at INTEX Osaka, Japan. Consisting of specialised shows covering the entire healthcare industry, MEDICAL JAPAN 2019 Osaka gathered 782 exhibitors from 24 countries/regions and 21,663 professionals worldwide. MEDICAL JAPAN has firmly established itself as an international business platform in Japan, one of the world’s leading medical market.


The Grand Opening Ribbon-cutting Ceremony with 38 industry leaders

The Ribbon-cutting Ceremony was grandly held to celebrate the opening of MEDICAL JAPAN 2019. 38 ribbon-cutting dignitaries, consisting of organisers, top executives of hospitals, medical device manufacturers, governmental officials and international organisations from Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, US, Canada and Germany were introduced. Those industry leaders expressed their commitment towards the show and further development of the industry.

International Pavilions

There were 13 international pavilions at MEDICAL JAPAN 2019 showcasing their countries/regions’ advanced products and technologies. They gathered great attention from Japanese importers and also visitors from Asian countries. Every year, more and more pavilions bring additional excitement to the fair ground. This year, Wisconsin (USA) Pavilion, Alberta (Canada) Pavilion and Pakistan Pavilion were new comers. Many new countries/regions are expected in 2020.

The Ideal Gateway for International Exhibitors’ Debut in Japan

Exhibitors from all over the world introduced cutting-edge medical and elderly care products/ technologies to the world’s leading medical market, Japan. Innovative products with high business potential were easily spotted everywhere on the fair ground. SIEMENS HEALTHCARE K.K. showcased its latest CT scanner which kept the booth always full of the visitors. One of the exhibitors in the USA Pavilion, ICE COLD MOUTHPIECE, presented an innovative Oral Cryotherapy product which effectively provides cooling of the entire oral cavity comfortably to manage pain and discomfort from chemotherapy. PRIORITY ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS, INC., DBA PRO1TEK introduced what is called “WoundClot,” advanced bleeding control hemostatic gauze which is designed to stop moderate to severe arterial & venous hemorrhage with light compression. OPENM INC. from Korea exhibited next generation cast, OPENCAST, with which you can take a shower and are free from itchiness. As much as medical devices, there were many must-check elderly care exhibits. Health management system & fitness equipment from GEE HOO INDUSTRIAL CORP., Taiwan, gathered great attention from numbers of visitors who were looking for rehab products. They tried and found it very advanced in terms of systematic training machines with data management. Vacuum Oral Care from DR.PIK CO., LTD., Korea, is to be used for teeth cleaning and gum massage by person in need of assistance without assistance from family or caregivers. In fact, most of the international exhibitors are newcomers to Japan, and they do not have their products registered in Japan yet. Show Management offered them a special support, called “Matching Support with Importers.” Show Management introduced importers and distributors to the international exhibitors and arranged meetings. Over 400 meetings were arranged on site by Show Management and it brought great opportunities to the exhibitors to meet potential importers and future partners to expand their businesses in Japan. Such strong support makes MEDICAL JAPAN an unrivalled gateway for international exhibitors who aim to enter and achieve success in Japan.
